MG Paint Code: Where to Find It

Your MG paint code is a 3-letter code, such as WSB or JSJ. It's on a sticker or metal plate in the driver's door jamb, or under the bonnet. That code is all we need to mix your touch-up paint to MG's factory colour.

How to read an MG paint label

Look for PAINT or COLOUR on the label. MG paint codes are usually 3 letters, like WSB (Dover White) or PBC (Pebble Black). If you see more than one code, send us a photo and we'll confirm which one is the paint.

MG uses the same code for colours with different names in different countries. Dover White, for example, is sold as Arctic White and Snow White elsewhere. That's why we mix by the code, not the name.

Can't find your MG paint code?

  1. Check the owner's manual or service book. Some list the colour name and code.
  2. Look it up on Red Book. Enter your car's details on Red Book to see which colours your model came in.
  3. Choose your make, model and year when you order. We'll show the colours offered for your MG.
