Hyundai Paint Code: Where to Find It
Your Hyundai paint code is a 2–3 character code, such as PYW or T2X, on the label in the driver's door jamb. A few older models have it in the engine bay instead. That code is all we need to mix your touch-up paint to Hyundai's factory colour.
Where to find the paint code on your Hyundai
| Model | Where to look |
|---|---|
| i30, Elantra, Venue, Kona, Tucson, Santa Fe, Palisade | Label on the driver's door jamb (B-pillar) |
| Ioniq 5, Ioniq 6, Kona Electric | Label on the driver's door jamb |
| iLoad, iMax, Staria | Driver's door jamb or the engine bay |
| Older models (Getz, Accent, Excel) | Driver's door jamb, or a plate in the engine bay |
How to read a Hyundai paint label
Look for PAINT or COLOR on the label. The code next to it is your paint code, usually 3 characters like PYW, PAE or A5G. The label may also show a trim code. You can ignore it.

Hyundai has several whites that look alike but need different paint, so check the code on your label. A colour can be called many different names, which is why we mix by the code, not the name.
