BYD Paint Code: Where to Find It

Your BYD paint code is on the black information label in the driver's door jamb. Look for the field marked 颜色 or 车身颜色, which means "colour" or "body colour". BYD codes and colour names are newer and less widely published than other brands', so if in doubt, send us a photo of the label and we'll match it.

How to read a BYD paint label

The label is mostly in Chinese and English. Find 颜色 (colour) or 车身颜色 (body colour). The code printed beside it is your paint code. If you're not sure which part is the code, send us a photo of the whole label.

BYD colours in Australia

These are BYD colours we've mixed. Type BYD followed by your code (for example BYDLAQ) into our colour code search to go straight to your colour.

BYD codes can be 2 to 4 characters, letters and numbers mixed. If your code isn't listed, we can still mix it. Just tell us the code when you order. BYD sells some colours under different names in other countries, which is why we mix by the code on your label, not the name.

Can't find your BYD paint code?

  1. Check the owner's manual or service book. Some list the colour name and code.
  2. Look it up on Red Book. Enter your car's details on Red Book to see which colours your model came in.
  3. Choose your make, model and year when you order. We'll show the colours offered for your BYD.
  4. Email us a photo. Send a photo of your car and any label you can find to info@colourtubes.com.au, and we'll work it out.
