The Colour Tubes Professional Kit is our most complete DIY repair kit, for deep stone chips, rust spots and damage down to bare metal or plastic. It includes 3 tubes of factory-matched, water-based paint, 3 Gloss Clear/DTM Primer tubes to prime, build up and seal each repair, and a full 100ml Finishing Solution with cloths for a flawless, long-lasting finish. • 3 x Pre-Treatment Wipes: To thoroughly clean and prepare the surface for proper paint adhesion.
• 3 x 3ml Colour Tubes: Factory-matched colour for professional repairs of chips and scratches.
• 3 x 3ml Gloss Clear/DTM Primer: Water-based gloss clear for levelling chip repairs where a higher gloss is needed. Also a direct-to-metal primer with excellent adhesion. Matte or High Gloss options available on request.
• 1 x Squeegee: The squeegee enables you to apply the paint to chips and scratches to achieve the best, smoothest result.
• 3 x Microbrushes: Great for door edges and bumpers where the squeegee does not work so well.
• 30ml Mixing Cup: Great for when you want to brush in a few stone chips, or to thin the paint.
• 1 x 100ml Finishing Solution Bottle: Gently removes the excess paint and levels the surface, leaving it smooth and seamless.
• 3 x Wiping Cloths: Use with the Finishing Solution to level the excess paint.
• 1 x Micro Fibre Cloth: To finish and polish the surface after using the Finishing Solution.

Which kit do I need?

All 4 kits use the same factory-matched, water-based paint; they differ in how much paint you get and how far each kit takes the finish.

In short: choose Starter for a quick tidy-up, Essentials when chips need a clear coat to sit level, Advanced for a whole-car touch-up, and Professional when damage has reached bare metal or plastic.

Frequently asked questions

Can I repair a chip down to bare metal?

Yes. Clean the area, then apply a very small amount of the Clear/DTM Primer to the bare metal or plastic and let it dry. Then apply the colour, followed by the clear, and level the repair with Finishing Solution.

What about rust spots?

Light rust can be removed using a phosphoric acid rust converter, which we can supply in small amounts on request. Once the corrosion has been removed, prime the exposed area with the DTM Primer before painting to seal it. Rust that has bubbled the paint or eaten into the panel needs a body shop.

Can I get a matte or high-gloss clear instead?

Yes. Matte or High Gloss clears are available on request in place of the Gloss Clear: just leave a comment in the order notes. Matte Clear dries matte in about 30 minutes and suits matte paint and matte black trim such as door frames.

Is it suitable for older cars?

Yes. Your kit is mixed to your car's original factory colour by make, model and year or paint code. On older cars, clean the chip carefully first, since built-up polish and dirt stop paint sticking.
